Team Bulletin
Whether you’ve been with us since opening day or have just joined, thank you for helping make Jiujitsu Culture a welcoming place to train. Here are a few everyday standards we ask everyone to follow:
Come ready to train. Wear a clean uniform, keep fingernails and toenails trimmed, and remove jewelry before stepping on the mats.
Parents, please let the coaches lead class. We’re all teammates in supporting your child’s progress. While watching, please avoid calling out, coaching, or giving instructions from the sidelines. Hearing directions from one place helps children stay focused on their coach and their training partners. If you have a question or something you’d like us to know, please speak with us before or after class.
Keep shoes off the mats. Please wear flip flops or slippers whenever you step off the mats, especially when going to the bathroom.
Look after your training partners. Listen to your coaches, train with control, and tap early. If your partner taps, let go right away.
Stay home when you’re unwell. This helps protect your training partners and keeps everyone training.
Help us care for the space. Keep food and drinks off the mats and take your belongings with you after class.
For our younger students, parents can help by checking that their child arrives with a clean gi, a water bottle, and everything they need for class.
Thank you for doing your part. These small habits make a big difference for the whole JJC community. See you on the mats!
